Penthouse II – Lawless & Meyerson
In spite of its harbour setting, this sophisticated residence couldn’t be further away from the traditional coastal aesthetic. This refined, elegant and relaxing three-bedroom oasis is set in a unique location that boasts direct access to the beach, with its coastal context reflected in the sand- coloured palette.
With 180-degree harbour views, the kitchen makes the most out of the iconic setting. The monolith island bench grounds the space, while connecting the open plan living area – an homage to Italian design – with the kitchen joinery, designed to complement the aesthetic of simple, yet well-constructed detailing. The kitchen features eight appliances, however they aren’t immediately visible. Gaggenau’s fridge and freezer are fully integrated and hidden behind the joinery panels, with the dishwasher and rangehood completely concealed as well. The minimalist anthracite glass finish of the ovens and microwave complements the overall aesthetic, as does the simple and well incorporated induction cooktop.
The ability to conceal and seamlessly integrate the appliances produces a balanced and symmetrical interior, enhancing the relaxing, yet ready to entertain, character of the space.
